What if everything was opposite???
Do You Truly Know the Difference Between Light and Darkness?
Eyes are watching. Always watching.
What separates light from shadow?
Is it a line we can see, or a feeling we chase?
In a world where truth blurs into illusion, can you trust your eyes to show you what’s real?
Do You See Light, Darkness, or Just the Illusion?
Eyes are on you. Everywhere. Watching, waiting, whispering.
I’m Gordon Bufton, born under the vibrant pulse of Montreal’s streets in ’88, raised where jazz notes and poutine fumes mingled in the air. At eight, I landed in Atlanta, the ’96 Olympics buzzing like a fever dream—neon lights, global dreams, and a kid learning the world’s a stage. Life’s been a wild ride since: building businesses, mentoring youth, chasing truths across continents. But here’s the question that keeps me up at night: What’s real?
Light and darkness—two sides of the same coin, or a cosmic sleight of hand? I’ve stood in the glow of success, launching ventures that sparked connection, and I’ve wandered the shadows of setbacks, rebuilding from scratch in small-town Canada. Light feels like truth, doesn’t it? That rush when everything clicks. But darkness… it’s not just absence. It’s where you find the grit to question everything. Have you ever stared into the void and felt it stare back?
Then there’s the divide—boys, girls, men, women. Society hands us labels like they’re gospel, but I’ve seen enough of the world to know it’s not that simple. From Montreal’s melting pot to Atlanta’s hustle, I’ve met souls who defy boxes, who blur lines like artists on a canvas. Are we defined by biology, culture, or something deeper? Or is it all just another layer of the grand illusion?
Reality. Ha. What a slippery beast. Is it the adrenaline of closing a deal? The quiet of mentoring a kid who’s lost his way? Or the surreal moment at the Masters in ’24, rubbing shoulders with power players plotting to reshape the global economy? I’ve chased reality across borders, from Europe’s ancient cobblestones to Asia’s neon markets. Yet every answer spawns ten more questions. Who’s writing the script? Who’s the right version of you, of me, of anyone?
Maybe it’s all a mirage—a beautiful, maddening illusion. But here’s the kicker: illusions can teach us. They force us to dig deeper, to peel back the layers. That’s why I’m starting this blog. To wrestle with the big questions. To share the lessons from my journey—triumphs, failures, and everything in between.
So, what’s your truth? What’s the line between your light and darkness? Drop your thoughts in the comments, hit me up at GordonBufton@Proton.me, or slide into my DMs @GordonBufton33. This is just the beginning. Let’s unravel the mystery together—one question, one story, one truth at a time.
